This loop hike in the Monongahela National Forest takes visitors through scenic highlands. The hike begins in dense evergreens and passes through meadows and by rocky outcrops. The evergreens give way to a mix of hardwoods as the trail descends to creek bottoms and returns to FR19. The return to the starting trailhead can be made on foot by the roadside or a shuttle vehicle can be employed. Bring plenty of water and food and clothing for changing conditions.
